Can I commission a memorial while my pet is still alive?

We have had many families who decided to commission a memorial while their pets are still with them, and the memorial can be helpful in coming to terms with the next phases of the relationship between you and your companion.

We see the memorials and keepsakes as a celebration of the time you have spent together, and there is no reason why an early memorial cannot be a part of it.

Should I order before my pet’s ashes are returned?

In most cases, our urns and keepsakes are ordered before the ashes are returned. Accounting for the time for us to craft the urn and the figurines along with in some cases, international shipping, it is very likely that our urns would arrive after your pet’s ashes are returned.

Our experiences tell us that the best practice in such a case, is to keep the ashes, along with the satin cloth or sealed bag, in a cool dark place, and to carefully transfer over to the urns once they arrive. In the urn sizing question in the FAQs would help you better understand which sizes to get based on the weight of your pet if you need clarification.

Which type of photographs helps us the most?

Clear full bodied photos from the front, left, right profiles, and the back are most helpful in helping us understand the appearances and characteristics of the pet.

Though we have had people who would also send us additional photos of unique spots or marks that really defined their pets, like a spot of fur that resembled a heart shape, or halo rings around the tail.

Once we receive the photos, we will carefully evaluate them, and reach out to you if we feel like more photos will be helpful.

Can we create a memorial for any type of pet?

We have had experiences with dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and hamsters thus far, but we are open to explore your special little friend even if we haven’t worked with them before.

What about my pet’s unique markings and expression?

Absolutely feel free to leave a message and show us a photo of that unique marking, as that would be most helpful. We will make sure to get back to you if we need more photos or information from you.

Specific facial expressions like their tongue sticking out or smiling is also an option, but may incur additional fees if the request is complex. Feel free to reach out to us so we can best understand your vision.

Can I request custom details or accessories?

We have previously added pet beds or toys like tennis balls onto the figurines, as well as adding a collar or bowties onto the pets, as many families have asked us to include their pet’s favourite toys or accessories.

We have also commissioned figurines of pets in their signature poses. Please also note that with complex accessories or poses, additional cost may be incurred.

What happens after I place my order?

With non-customised items, we would get to crafting the items right away, and hand them over to our partnered couriers depending on the region.

With commissioned items, we would first review the photos you have sent us, and confirm any details with you if necessary, and begin our sculpting process by hand. Each piece would only be sent out via our partnered couriers after you have reviewed and confirmed the figurines are to your satisfaction.

How do I place my order?

A detailed ordering procedure is on our homepage for your reference.

Why are some items non-returnable?

Custom items are made just for you, based on your pet’s photo and name. While handmade ceramics may have tiny bubbles or marks, each piece is truly one-of-a-kind and holds deep meaning. For this reason, we can't accept returns on personalised orders.

Do I need to use all of my pet’s ashes?

Not necessarily, we have had many families who would decide to share the ashes amongst family members or close friends, especially if any of them have relocated to another city or country.

When a pet leaves, everyone who was close with the pet feels the loss, and sharing the ashes together often helps everyone to feel connected.

Can two pets be commemorated together?

In many cases, we have often been commissioned with life-long companions who would share their resting place together. The only thing to note would be the size of the urn, and whether their ashes would fit within it. We would recommend the large or the extra large size from this collection, or the large size from this collection.

Detail regarding the space is in the description, but if you are unsure, feel free to contact us and we will recommend the right one for you.

Can I keep my pet’s ashes at home?

There is not right or wrong choice for this, but we do notice more families who feels more comfortable keeping their pet(s) closer at home. Which is also how we designed the urns, to blend itself to the home decor. Not only does the material lend itself to the idea of our pets returning to nature, but also the warmth and happier moments every time we look at them.

Which one is the right memorial for me?

Our urns are largely made out of two different materials that aimed to give you two distinct personalities.

Our organic wood urns strive to show its most natural state, sometimes even keeping the tree rings and barks intact as to showcase our philosophy of returning our pets to nature, and where they once came from.

While, our ceramic pieces have a more elegant, smooth, timelessness to them and its shape and form would provide a more composed resting place for your pet(s).

We also believe the “right” memorial would be the ones that remind you of who they were, so whether if your dogs just loved playing around the trees and tearing down any sticks and bark they could reach, or your cats enjoyed the occasional nap on your pillow. We aim to create memorial pieces that expresses your pet exactly how you remember them.

Craftsmanship
Why do we hand carve instead of using moulds or CNC machines?

Pets come in all shapes and sizes, and hand carving each piece allows us to capture the subtle expressions, fur qualities, and their personalities that cannot be replicated through the processes through mass production.

Will my figurine look exactly like my pet?

While each figurine is handcrafted in order to best stay true to your pet. No sculptures would be an exact copy of your pet. Our goal is to capture the atmosphere and personality of your pet to make it unmistakably your companion, rather than whittling a carbon copy of your pet.

How long does a keepsake take to complete?

Standard non-customised items takes around ten days to produce and begin its journey to you.

While stylistic and highly detailed custom figurines take around 2 to 3 weeks before we are ready to present it for your first review.

Our experiences with international shipping is that the time estimate can be privy to the ever-changing customs regulations and the local courier service. If you are unsure about the shipping duration, feel free to message us with your address and we can try to estimate the shipping time based on our most up-to-date experiences.

Is every memorial truly handmade?

Yes, every figurine we make is handmade and given our full attention, all the way from selecting the wood to painting the finish by hand.

Community
How soon is too soon?

There is no right time when it comes to this, but from our experience, most people do try to get the urn right as their pet passes. We have also had people come to us to replace the the urns and memorials they have been using as the previous ones may have lacked the personal touch or were too somber in its appearances. Surprisingly, we have also had people who would try to get their memorials before their pet passes, as it would help them come to terms with this next phase of their lives.

We designed these memorials with the thought that they will not only provide a resting place for your pet(s), but also a warm reminder of their best times with you. So, the best time may be when you feel like you are ready to embrace and begin your journey onto the next chapter of your lives.

Is it a good idea to gift keepsakes to friends and family members?

When a pet passes, all your family members and closest friends feel the loss together.

Especially when those who may have ventured onto different parts of the country or the world, in these cases, we believe that gifting figurines or even sharing the ashes would help everyone come to terms with the grief.

Additional notes

1. If you request additional revisions beyond the included one, a £10 fee per revision applies (minor adjustments only; structural changes are not included).

A custom payment link will be provided, and each revision may extend the shipping time by around 3 days.

2. As this is a handmade artwork, not a camera or 3D scan, no handcrafted piece can ever be identical to a photograph. If you are seeking a photo-exact reproduction, this style may not be the right fit 🙂

Our goal is not a photographic replica, but to capture your companion’s spirit, personality, and key features in our artistic style.
